6. Your activities in Hungary - dental travel

Hévíz is the most significant medicinal-touristic centre of Hungary. The curative lake, famous world-wide, is the largest thermal lake in Europe, in which one has the chance for open-air bathing throughout the whole year. Its miraculous effect manifests itself first of all in the curing of rheumatic and locomotor diseases. The speciality of the thermal lake is that it is the only one in Europe where water-lilies bloom throughout the year.

All you have to do is to change into a swimsuit or shorts and enjoy the different kinds of healing waters with different compositions and different temperatures. But it is not only about water. Most of the thermal baths (Zalakaros, Kehidakustány) offer much more, like a sauna, steam cell and a big variety of massages.

The Aquapark in Zalaegerszeg offers you similar entertainment. Mad slides and rides are during the whole day available. If you get a little bit tired of the sun and the water, you have the opportunity to choose a delicious lunch in one of the restaurants or just rest up on one of the comfortable sun beds.

Since this is a favoured meeting point of young people, especially in the summer, it is easy to have a good time and to meet new people.

Lake Balaton is a popular bathe resort from May to September. The average temperature of the lake is 23-28 degrees, the average depth of the lake is 2,5 m, however at the shallow lidos ( especially at the southern shore ) it is nver deeper than 1 - 1,5 m.

From early spring to late autumn you can ship or sail round the 77 m long and 15 km wide lake and enjoy the great panoramic view on both shores.

Keszthely is only 10 km from Hévíz and you can find there many museums or visit the Festetics Castle which is a great programme in spring or autumn. Details: places of intereset > >

A special feature is trail riding on  horses through quiet valleys and along sunny mountain ridges. Beginners are welcome in our riding school and there are friendly ponies available for children. We got also daily horse riding turist trip.

Hungary is famous for its delicious, tasty red and white wine. You can take the opportunity of tasting them in the region where they have been yielded.
